Recall Hansen circulators were paid per signature

In April, the Recall Dave Hansen people began to offer cash for signatures. Organizer, and now Republican candidate, David Vanderleest said it flat out, "we are not afraid to have paid circulators"

Vanderleest later put up this Craigslist Ad (below) stating that circulators would receive 50 cents per signature.  The ad states "Have money in your pocket by dark!  Unlimited short term earning potential!"

Judge grants elections board extra time to evaluate Dem recall petitions

A Dane County judge on Friday gave the state Government Accountability Board another week to analyze challenges to recall petitions against three Democratic state senators, likely setting recall elections against those senators a week behind elections for six of their Republican colleagues.
Circuit Judge John Markson also denied a motion by Republicans to delay certification of recall petitions against the six Republican senators, saying that it was not his job to tell the GAB how to do theirs.
"It is a matter of policy," Markson said. "That is not my role here. My role here is very limited."
Markson's decision gives the GAB until June 10 to file certificates of sufficiency of recall petitions for Democratic Sens. Dave Hanson of Green Bay, Jim Holperin of Conover and Robert Wirch of Pleasant Prairie.
GAB director Kevin Kennedy said after the decision, made following a three-hour court hearing, that he has already signed the certifications for recall elections against Republican state Sens. Albert Darling of River Hills, Dan Kapanke of La Crosse, Luther Olsen of Ripon, Randy Hopper of Fond du Lac, Sheila Harsdorf of River Falls and Robert Cowles of Green Bay.
Orders for recall elections of the six will now be issued, Kennedy said.
The recall elections are tentatively set for July 12, although the date could change because of legal action — Kapanke, Hopper and Olsen have sued to stop the election — or because primary elections might be required in some races.
If the GAB certifies the recall petitions next week against the three Democrats, recall elections for them would be held on July 19.
Dan Hunt, who leads the recall effort against Wirch, said Markson's decision was not surprising, but said he expects the petitions against Wirch to stand up to GAB scrutiny.
GAB asked Markson to extend the deadline to certify the recall petitions against Hanson, Holperin and Wirch because it has not had time to sufficiently examine them.
Assistant Attorney General Lewis Beilin, representing the GAB, said that the challenges to the petitions against the three Democrats are more complex and will require more analysis than the challenges to petitions against the Republicans.
But Michael Screnock, lawyer for the Republicans, said the GAB did not mention the issue until very late in the process. Instead it finished its analysis of the petitions against all of the Republicans last week, even though the petitions against the Democrats were not the last submitted.
Markson said he did not believe that was evidence of bias on GAB's part and that it did not violate any of its own rules by taking up the petitions out of order.
"The board decided it made more sense to do what it could in the short amount of time it had," Markson said, in the interest of efficiency.
Screnock also said he believed Democrats' challenges to recall petitions were confusing and submitted to slow down the process, but Markson said he saw no evidence of that.

Meet Your Recall – Senate District 30 – Chapter I

In an effort to inform the public about the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s rampant election fraud in the collection of recall signatures against three Democratic senators, the GOP Election Fraud Blog wants to update you regularly on the key players in the recall drives.

The first installment is the phony drive in Senate District 30 against Senator Dave Hansen – a drive infected with systemic election fraud.  Meet the self-proclaimed ringleader:

·         David VanderLeest, Lord of Election Fraud. 

David VanderLeest takes all the credit for the recall of Senator Dave Hansen.  He and his merry gang gathered signatures.  When they failed to get enough to trigger a recall, they turned to the Republican Party of Wisconsin.  RPW graciously offered to bail out VanderLeest by hiring a shady company from Colorado called Kennedy Enterprises, and the result was thousands of local residents bamboozled into signing the petition through deception, clever wording and in many cases outright lies.

The Republican Recall Racket

Madison - In an effort to keep the Wisconsin public informed about the widespread pattern of election fraud perpetrated by Republican recall efforts, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin today is launching the "GOP ELECTION FRAUD BLOG."  

This blog will chronicle the mountains of evidence of systemic election fraud committed by Republicans and the shady out-of-state circulator operation they employed against three Democratic senators.  Those disreputable circulators submitted nearly 8,000 signatures in each of the three Democratic districts alone that should be disqualified.  This is in addition to the thousands of additional signatures that are invalid for non-fraudulent reasons, such as signatures from people who live outside the district.

"Listening to recall organizers scream and stomp their feet is clearly a pathetic diversion attempt from these very serious claims of systemic fraud, forgery, and deception," said DPW Chairman Mike Tate.  "Maybe instead of hurling false allegations at the GAB, the recall organizers should direct their fire at the Republican Party of Wisconsin for empowering such a shady organization to collect signatures.  Or blame themselves for allowing such deceit and fraud to fuel their recall efforts."

An exhaustive investigation revealed a stunning level of widespread election fraud infecting the entire GOP operation.  Among the core findings:

• The RPW hired Kennedy Enterprises, and out of state firm with a very checkered past of fraud and corruption.  Kennedy has been under investigation in nearly a dozen other states, and are currently involved in a lawsuit in their home state of Colorado, which is attempting to run Kennedy Enterprises out of business because of their shady practices.
• Kennedy/RPW hired felons from other states to come to Wisconsin and go into our communities, go door to door, and circulate recall petitions.  Some of the criminal backgrounds included a crack dealer, and another was actually convicted of voter fraud in another state.  These out-of-state circulators have been caught repeatedly forging signatures and defrauding the public.  Affidavits show that one of the most prolific circulators, Sherri Ferrell, who “collected” approximately 2500 signatures in SD12 while working under Kim Simac, went onto the Menominee Tribe reservation and told people they were signing a petition to increase Indian voting rights.
• Many other Kennedy Enterprise circulators we caught telling members of the public they were signing a petition to recall Governor Walker.  In Green Bay (SD30), a World War II vet was so upset when he learned he had been was tricked into signing that he went back to the location where the circulator was posted with a Sheriff to demand his name be removed.  The circulator pretended to cross off the name, but actually submitted it to GAB anyway.
• Many other citizens have attested to forgery, as their names appeared on petitions they never signed. There is the infamous case of William Pocan, a man from Kenosha who has been dead for 20 years, who’s name appeared on the petition against Sen. Wirch (SD22).  A few days ago, the deceased Mr. Pocan also received a fundraising letter from the Republican Party.

"The public needs to know the vast extent of the election fraud committed by the RPW and their shady out-of-state circulators," said Tate.  "There are hundreds of affidavits and statements attesting to fraud by nearly two dozen out-of-state circulators, accounting for 23,500 signatures in the three districts.  Wisconsin law clearly gives the GAB the power to disqualify all the petitions submitted by these fraudulent circulators.  We believe after the GAB reviews all the facts, they will conclude that these recall efforts have failed to gather enough signatures to trigger recalls against Democratic senators."
